things I like to do: touching the first snow
i woke up yesterday and saw somebody doing that outside my window. puffy winter jacket, face wrapped up in a scarf like the invisible man. he stopped next to a tree stump and reached out with his finger and sort of poked the tree stump, which was covered in snow. and then he stood there motionless, for ages, in that poking position. i wasn’t really sure what was going on so i went away and...

but next week bill is going to be wearing a suit and eating like a raja for three days. what a chump!! so anyway, things might slow down a bit while that’s going on.
in the mean time it’s started snowing again. it was just starting to melt and then last night WHEEEWWW we got dumped with another big load of the stuff. going home...

have i told you about my horror movie allergy?
i can never watch them, i just get too freaked out. but recently i had a chat with someone who convinced me i was missing out on the “great adrenalin rush” of a proper horror, and i decided i’d give it a try again.
i’d heard this movie was good, so i got it during the week, and tonight i tried to watch it.
like 10 minutes...

this afternoon i was sitting by the window watching the sun set, my friend chris came in and said something like “oh! the angels have the oven turned on.” what a weird expression. anyway, the sunset was gorgeous, as slow and stately as you could wish for. it’s nice to get that, even when it’s freaking cold outside.
but for whatever reason i’m feeling totally worn out...

last night i couldn’t sleep so i popped my head out the window for some fresh air. there was a light on in my neighbours house. after a moment i noticed my neighbour’s window was open a crack, too. the light was actually bleeding out the window and covering the house with blood. the bricks were glowing warmly. this of course freaked the hell out of me so i had to go back to bed.
